Air Nigeria always seeks to offer convenient service options to its valued customers, and the check-in service options available prove this. Whether you are at home, at work or on the go, or would like to check in well ahead of your flight, you will find our check-in options easy and convenient.

Online check-in
With Air Nigeria online check-in, we help you buy more time before your flight. With just 3 steps, you can simply check-in from the comfort of your home or office at www.myairnigeria.com, select your choice of seat and print your boarding pass or request your boarding pass by mail so you can be ahead of others as you walk straight through the security checks for that important flight. If you are travelling with bags, our dedicated bag drop off point ensures you spend less time at handing your bags in

Early Check-In
This service allows you to check-in at the airport as early as you wish on the day of your travel irrespective of your flight time. Simply Check-In, obtain your boarding pass and go about your business. Return to the airport 30 minutes to your domestic flight and walk straight to the aircraft.
Our check-in counters at Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 and the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja are open to all travellers from 6am daily.

Airport check-in
Our airport check-in counters offer flexibility and ease with dedicated agents to ensure that you enjoy the first human touch to a pleasant flight. You can check-in from 24 hours to 2 hours before departure.
For domestic flights, check-in counters open 2 hours 30 minutes before departure. Check-in counters close in all locations before flight departure as follows:
Business class (20mins)
Economy class (25mins)
For regional flights, check-in counters open in Nigeria 3 hours 30 minutes before departure. Check-in counters close in all locations before flight departure as follows:
Business class (35mins)
Economy class (40mins)

Dedicated Check-In
When you fly business class or carry an eagleflier Gold or Black card, Air Nigeria offers you dedicated check-in service in most of the airports we fly to. Just proceed to the Business Class Check-in counter and present your business class ticket /eagleflier Gold or Black card.

Return check-in
You can also check-in ahead of your return trip. We ensure you are holding your return boarding pass for a flight within 24 hours so you don’t need to visit the check-in counter on your return. You can also enjoy this benefit for same day travel

It is recommended that you arrive at the airport at least 2 hours for regional flights and 1 hour for domestic flights prior to flight scheduled departure.

At the Airport

Cabin baggage
Passengers on Air Nigeria’s domestic and regional flights in economy and business classes are entitled to 6KG of cabin baggage.
Checked baggage
Checked baggage allowance information for domestic and regional flights is provided below:

Domestic Routes, Accra & Cotonou 30kg (Business) / 20kg (Economy)
Regional Routes 40kg (Business) / 30kg (Economy)

Please note that Bag Drop closes 45 minutes before the scheduled flight departure on the domestic service and 60 minutes on the regional service. You may not be able to travel if you have not completed the Bag Drop off process before these times!
COCO Bags
Did you just say COCO (Carry On Carry Off) bags? Well, this is Air Nigeria’s own way of ensuring flexibility for our ready-to-go passengers. With your bag weighing less 13kg or less, you may be allowed to carry such to the door of the aircraft where an agent places it in the aircraft hold. On arrival at your destination, your bag will be waiting for you at the door of the aircraft, ensuring you are ready to go for your business meeting without having to wait at the baggage carousel.

Excess baggage
For passengers with luggage above the checked baggage limit, charges for excess baggage apply to luggage weighing above
30KG for business class and
20KG for economy class

Mishandled or lost baggage
We try our best to ensure your bags get to its destination in one piece, but unfortunately, the unexpected sometimes happen. In such cases where your bags are mishandled or damaged, Air Nigeria can help you locate, retrieve and/or replace your bags.
Cargo Services
We offer you cargo services for exceeded baggage allowance. It is handled by the Air Nigeria cargo section. Usually, sending heavy luggage through this option is cheaper than paying excess weight charges but we let you make the choice.
Prohibited items
Certain items are classified as dangerous goods and are prohibited for carriage on board the airplane. It is required that you leave such items at home or pack them as checked baggage. These items include:

* Butane (curling iron lighter)
* Compressed gas/cylinder
* Corrosive items
* Dry ice
* Explosives
* Firearms/ammunition
* Flammable items
* Gasoline powered equipments
* Oxidizing materials
* Oxygen for medical purposes
* Paints

* Radioactive materials
* Repellents
* Sea food (brine)
* Security attaché cases
* Toiletries (aerosol)

Unaccompanied Minor Service (UMNR)
Air Nigeria now offers a special service for children travelling alone on our domestic, regional and international routes. Wherever the destination of your young one, we will take special care of him/her throughout their journey, from a safe and fun flight to a safe and smooth arrival at their destination.

Air Nigeria offers this service for children travelling alone who are between the ages of 5 -12 years of age (“Qualifying Child”). Persons older than 12 years can travel unaccompanied with Air Nigeria. This service is offered for point to point travels only i.e. only offered on non-stop, no transit travels.

Customers can book for this service by visiting any of our travel agents, city ticketing offices, airport ticketing offices or by calling our Call Centre. This service cannot be booked or processed online. For this service, kindly note that advanced bookings and all necessary documentation required for such bookings must be made a minimum of three days before the date of travel of the Qualifying child or children.

There is a charge for this service, and it is dependent on the destination of travel. The applicable charge is paid per child per sector of travel. The service charge must be paid along with the payment for the child's ticket after the booking is confirmed.

For travels within Nigeria, the service charge is N5, 000 and for travels to Air Nigeria regional destinations (Accra, Douala, Dakar, etc) the service charge is $50. This fee is per sector of each travel i.e. applicable ONLY from one point of travel to another e.g. Lagos to Abuja.

Lounge
Air Nigeria Business class lounges
Are you a business class passenger or an eagleflier Gold or Silver cardholder? Air Nigeria’s lounge is open to you. Get away from the noise and stress around the airport; escape to a place of comfort and style…where our warm and courteous staff welcome you with a smile and ensure you not only get all the attention you need but also relax in a serene and modern atmosphere
Air Nigeria’s business class lounge facilities in the departure area of Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos is open for passengers travelling to any of our regional destinations.
Economy class passengers with full economy tickets also have access to the lounge with payment of a token.

The Air Nigeria lounge in Abuja is open to business class passengers, Silver and Gold cardholders travelling out of the Abuja international airport
Non Air Nigeria Lounges
Air Nigeria also offers business class passengers and Gold cardholders access to the Murtala Muhammed 2 (MM2) airport lounge called “Things Remembered”.
You will also have lounge access privilege at every Air Nigeria destination, a sure way to delight you, even when you’re miles away from home.

Meals

Air Nigeria serves meals, snacks and drinks in both Business and Economy class. Business class meals are made up of meals (starters, desserts, hot meals and nibbles) served in casserole wares as well as wine, champagne, tea and/or juice. Meals vary depending on whether a flight is a domestic or regional service, time of the day and length of flight.

The TLTs

Free Newspapers
Do not forget to request for a newspaper daily as you take your seat onboard. Our courteous cabin crew will be glad to serve you

Amenity kit
On our regional flights (LOS-DKR), should you need to freshen up before arrival at your destination, simply ask a member of the crew for an amenity kit.
